A comprehensive assessment of the major abdominal organs, including:
- Liver
- Gallbladder
- Pancreas
- Kidneys

- Abdominal aorta (to assess for aneurysm)
Common reasons for referral:
Abdominal pain, pain after eating, indigestion-type symptoms, or abnormal liver or kidney blood tests.

Common reasons for referral:
Pelvic pain, irregular periods, fertility assessment, postmenopausal bleeding, or suspected polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Screening or monitoring of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), or relevant clinical risk factors.

Early Pregnancy - Viability Scan
Provides reassurance in the first 6–10 weeks by confirming your pregnancy is developing normally and located safely in the uterus. Depending on your pregnancy stage, the scan can detect:
- Gestational sac (around 5 weeks)
- Yolk sac (around 5.5 weeks)
- Fetal pole (6–7 weeks)
- Heartbeat (usually visible by 6–7 weeks)
- Signs of a multiple pre
Provides reassurance in the first 6–10 weeks by confirming your pregnancy is developing normally and located safely in the uterus. Depending on your pregnancy stage, the scan can detect:
- Gestational sac (around 5 weeks)
- Yolk sac (around 5.5 weeks)
- Fetal pole (6–7 weeks)
- Heartbeat (usually visible by 6–7 weeks)
- Signs of a multiple pregnancy
- Confirmation the pregnancy is in the uterus (excludes ectopic pregnancy)
If it’s early to see certain markers, a scan may be recommended after 7–10 days.
