A comprehensive ultrasound assessment of the major abdominal organs, including:
Common reasons for referral:
Abdominal pain, pain after eating, indigestion-type symptoms, or abnormal liver or kidney blood tests.

Assessment of pelvic organs, including:
Both transabdominal and transvaginal examinations are available where appropriate.
Common reasons for referral:
Pelvic pain, irregular periods, fertility assessment, postmenopausal bleeding, or suspected polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Targeted assessment of the abdominal aorta to check for dilatation or aneurysm.
Common reasons for referral:
Screening or monitoring of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), or relevant clinical risk factors.

Focused assessment of the urinary tract, including:
Common reasons for referral:
Urinary tract infections (UTIs), recurrent UTIs, kidney stones, blood in the urine, or urinary symptoms

A transabdominal scan to assess:
Common reasons for referral:
Urinary symptoms, concerns about prostate enlargement, or monitoring of known prostate conditions.

Quick, painless scan of:
▪ Testes
▪ Epididymis
Recommended for: lumps, swelling, pain, or discomfort.

Assessment for defects in the abdominal wall or groin.
Common reasons for referral:
Suspected hernia, groin pain, or a visible or palpable lump.

Doppler ultrasound of the legs to detect or exclude blood clots.
Common reasons for referral:
Leg pain, swelling, redness, or increased risk following surgery, illness, or prolonged travel.

For women between 6–10 weeks of pregnancy, to assess:
Internal (transvaginal) scanning may be required in early pregnancy to obtain accurate information.
